Over the last couple of years Irish cinemas have been awash with comic book movies thanks in part to Marvel studios policy of releasing two movies a year for the last couple of years. With their recently announced phase three plan going to potentially feature three movies a year in the not too distant future as well as DC comics joining in the comic book movie a year club Irish cinemas are going to be a comic books geeks dream.
Ant Man Update
2015 sees the end of phase two of Marvel studios comic book out put with both the Paul Rudd staring Ant-Man and Avengers Age of Ulton due to hit Irish cinemas during the summer. Not much has been released about Ant-Man yet bar some images of Paul Rudd looking pensive and Michael Douglas looking looking like a bad ass. Since Edgar Wright departed the movie due to script rewrites and change of direction fans have been worried about how this movie will fit into the developing Marvel cinematic universe but recent changes to descriptions of both movies seem to have bought the movie back into the fold. The recent plot description states that Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) is one of the founding members of the Avengers in the cinematic universe.
Avengers Age of Ultron
This brings us onto the topic of interest. The latest, extended, teaser trailer for Avengers:Age of Ultron has just been released online and it features some previously unseen footage from what could potentially be next years biggest movie release. We get some new footage of the main villain Ulton as he unleashes his arm upon our heroes as well as some additional footage of Iron Man’s Hulk Buster armor in action. Although exciting as it is to hear the excellent tones of James Spader i would like to see some more from the returning cast or even an idea of how “The Vision” will be introduced but i guess we’ll have to wait until we get a proper trailer release in the new year.
