As you might guess,Maslany features quite a lot in the four seasons to date. Her performance as, up to, 10 different clone characters is in itself an acting feat.
Somehow, she manages to create distinctly different people. Showcasing the characteristics and mannerism of each character she inhabits superbly.

TV anthology shows are very in at present. As are TV versions of successful movies. Fargo takes the anthology format, a different plot and characters in each season, and adds its own distinctive Coen Bothers spin on it. Garnering the show a great deal of critical acclaim for its first two seasons.
Anyone familiar with the universe that the 1996 movie created will be sure to eat this show up. Because once again, we get a chance to experience the Coen’s unique characters and sprawling plot points. Both seasons have been set in different time periods in Fargo. Each having minor easter eggs that link the two seasons together.
The cast includes Billy Bob Thornton, Allison Tolman, Colin Hanks, Martin Freeman, Kirsten Dunst, Patrick Wilson, Jesse Plemons, and Ted Danson. And are another reason to watch the show.
Banshee is set in the small fictional, Pennsylvanian town of the same name. The show comes from Cinemax which means that it doesn’t hold back on the violence, nudity, and hard-hitting storylines.
The plot revolves around Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief released from prison after 15 years. Hood is drawn to Banshee for two reasons, the$15 million in diamonds that he stole from his former employer and the person he left them with.
This person just happens to be the love of his life. Someone who has reinvented herself from thief to suburban mom and real estate agent in order to escape her criminal past.
Through a series of plot points, Hood has to adopt the identity of the town’s recently deceased incoming sheriff. A role he hopes will allow him to continue being a criminal while trying to remain under the radar. You know that old chestnut!
Cinemax doesn’t hold anything back when it comes to the graphic violence, sex, and storylines used in Banshee. And as the story progresses, it fleshes out further Hood’s past. A past that is not as open and closed as we first think.
Antony Starr carries the series admirably, especially in the more physically demanding storylines throughout the four seasons of the show.
If you are looking for a show with distrustful police officers, Amish criminals, Ukrainian gangsters, Native American casino operators, and rogue military personnel. Banshee is the one for you. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for the thrill of the gamble without having to leave home, you definitely play casinos online.
The next anthology binge watch series on our list comes from Ryan Murphy and is one of the most popular genre shows on TV at present.
Murphy is one of the minds behind some of the most popular shows of the last couple of years. Including Nip/Tuck, Glee, Scream Queens, and American Crime Story.
As with Fargo, each season of American Horror Story takes place in a different location but features a lot of the same characters.
Murphy pulled off a master stroke in filling out the cast with many award winners. Some of whom have gone on to win awards for their work on American Horror Story. Over the six seasons, we’ve seen Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Kathy Bates, Denis O’Hare, and Lady Gaga on the show.
American Horror Story, unbelievably, takes its inspiration from a whole array of true life characters. But with a certain amount of good old fashioned TV flare thrown in for good measure.
As the title implies, the over-riding theme of the show is one of horror. So far the seasons have covered a murder house, an asylum, a witches coven, a circus freakshow, and a murderous hotel.
The show is currently in the midsts of its sixth season. Creator Ryan Murphy has suggested this season will start tieing all seasons of the show together.
Archer is an animated show which follows the adventures of the tactical turtleneck wearing spy, Sterling Malory Archer. The Burt Reynolds obsessed man-boy working for “International Secret Intelligence Service” (ISIS). Spoiler, ISIS are not good at being spies and the majority of the show deals with the mundane day to day dealings of this malfunctioning team.
Unlike most animations, Archer has an overriding plot arc. Which makes it a little difficult to just drop into one episode from any given season to start your binge watch session. Our advice, it’s worth sticking with right from the start as it’s hilarious.
H. Jon Benjamin voices Archer and is joined by Judy Greer, Amber Nash, Chris Parnell, Aisha Tyler, Lucky Yates, and Jessica Walter. The always hilarious Chris Parnell is the chief scene-stealers.
The shows creators love of 1970’s spy movies and pop culture zingers shines throughout each episode. Archer spends most of his time either hitting on women, being drunk, or in the danger zone. But don’t let that fool you, he is actually a brilliant savant spy who has perfect field skills no matter what his capacity.
So far there has been seven seasons with the show such a success that it has been renewed up to season ten already.
Peaky Blinders is another binge watch worthy gem from the BBC and is based on the early 20th century Birmingham street gang. One synonymous with the practice of stitching razor blades into the peak of their flat caps to use as weapons.
Starring Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, the leader of the Peaky Blinders, the series takes place after the First World War. Following the gang, as they try to expand their territory and influence beyond England’s second city.
So far the series has dealt with the fall-out from the Shelby family’s links to the IRA, Tommy’s military background, social classes, PTSD, and the rise and fall of empires.
Cillian Murphy may be the lead of the show but he is ably supported by Sam Neill, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Paddy Considine, and Tom Hardy. The show is beautifully shot, as you’d expect from the Beeb, and features some excellent costume design.
The soundtrack maketh the modern TV drama and Peaky blinders certainly doesn’t disappoint. The decision to juxtapose modern classics with the 1920’s setting is inspired. Peaky Blinders effortlessly cool soundtrack is something to root out on Spotify.
The three seasons so far have featured music from the likes of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The White Stripes, Johnny Cash, PJ Harvey, Radiohead, Royal Blood, and Laura Marling. It’s almost a case of which do you binge, the show or the soundtrack.
Creator Sam Esmail has gone on record to say that Mr.Robot takes its inspiration from real-world events like the Arab Spring. After watching the show it’s easy to see why as it becomes clear why Fight Club is also an inspiration. Both have untrustworthy main characters, whose narration you aren’t sure you can truly trust.
As the show progresses other show influences come to light. These include American Phsyco, Breaking Bad, Blade Runner, Taxi Driver, and The Matrix.
Throughout the two seasons so far, Rami Malek has been a revelation as Elliot Alderson. Someone who’s constantly struggling with social anxiety disorder, dissociative identity disorder, and clinical depression.
By day Elliot is Cybersecurity expert, by night a vigilante hacker. One, whose actions are heavily influenced by paranoia and delusion. His world changes forever when he is contacted by the mysterious Mr.Robot, the leader of the hacktivist group fsociety.
Mr.Robot is excellent with Malek winning numerous awards for his portrayal of Elliot. The rest of the cast is rounded out by Christian Slater, Carly Chaikin, Portia Doubleday, and Martin Wallström.
